What is Chiropractic care?
According to WHO (World Health Organization), Chiropractic is a health care profession that deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the neuro-musculoskeletal system, as well as the effects of these disorders in general health. There is an emphasis on manual techniques, including joint adjustment and/or manipulation, with a particular focus on subluxations. We can thus say that Chiropractic is a method that consists on the application of non-invasive manual techniques to detect and correct dysfunctions in the spine and other joints.
The chiropractor is the professional graduated in Chiropractic care, an academic course which can lasts from 5 to 7 years. Through his hands, the chiropractor removes interferences caused by joint dysfunctions, prioritizing restoring neurological integrity and facilitating physiological processes, resulting in pain relief, increased functional capacity and delayed disease progression.
